[Elecraft] Using K2 in the mobile

I used my K2, and just plugged it into the cigarette lighter.  Fine for 
QRP.  Use fuses in both the plus and minus power leads.  Later I installed 
my IC706MKII in the trunk.  For that, I ran # 8 wire from the battery to 
the trunk.  There are fuses in both the positive and negative leads, right 
at the battery.  I bought a marine battery jumper from West Marine and cut 
the 10' or so from that.  The #8 wire in the battery jumper was very flexible.

The problem with the K2 as mobile is how do you mount it?  I made a small 
plywood desk and placed over the transmission hump, and only operated when 
stationery.  I used my lap top on the small desk for PSK31.
