It will be quite difficult to say exactly what frequencies you should set
for the BFOs, although with the 2.5 kHz filter I can say that the settings
in the KSB2 instructions will NOT work well.

I suggest you use the Spectrogram program and a noise generator so you can
see the passband shape.  Set the BFO so that the low frequency corner of the
passband is about 300 Hz and you will find it quite usable.  For a full
