[Elecraft] K2 with KPA100. Current drain question.

HI all!
Here is my question.
I want to dedicate my 706 to the car and set the K2 on top( in schack) =
at my home QTH.
Also I want to use the K2 at my hut where I have only 5 amps to use.
With the basic K2 this is not a problem.
What happens with the K2/100 and no tx signal current?
Will I still be able to make 15-20 watts on 5 amps with K2/100?
Or maybe more?
With the 706 this is not possible since the keydown current starting =
near 5 amps.
Basicly.....what would I hopefully get out of the K2/100 with 5 amps =
supply?
At home I have 30 amps so no problem at home.
In fact I find the K2 just as good on ssb as the 706.
