Hi Dave
If I were getting 12 watts out on 10 meters, I'd be a happy camper. When I
was going through this, I was told that the K2 like to have 14 volts,
particularly on the higher bands.
I'm not sure if your question concerns the general output or the fact that
it is going down as you go up in frequency.
All in all, I'd say your outputs are pretty good, particularly 18 watts on
80.
Just my thoughts

Subject: [Elecraft] RE: K2 power dropping off
Thanks to all you kind folks that have responded to my plea for help.
Yes, I have the current limiter set to 3.5A.
I went ahead and hooked the K2 up the to Astron VS-35M power supply. Set
the output voltage to 14.2VDC on the Astron which gives me 13.6VDC on the
K2.
The dummy load is a new MFJ-264 (1-650 MHz). (sigh)
Here are the new readings with the wattmeter reading shown first and the
K2's readout shown last.
wattmeter - K2
3700 - 18.1 - 18.2
7100 - 16.0 - 16.5
10100 - 14.0 - 15.4
14100 - 13.5 - 15.0
18113 - 13.0 - 14.9
21200 - 12.0 - 14.6
24950 - 11.0 - 13.8
28350 - 10.0 - 12.0
What does that tell you astute guys? Does it meet specs in you eyes at
these voltages, or is it still a little low?
(I need another wattmeter and dummy load, don't I?)
Thanks!
