[Elecraft] Time flys!

I had no idea that it had been 5 years since Elecraft hit the scene. I =
remember first seeing the ad in a couple of magazines and asking "How do =
you pronounce that name?" I was a relatively new ham at the time and had =
not yet experienced the fun of building, but I knew that was something =
that I wanted to do. So....I finally got the nerve to build my first =
kit....a Fireball 40 that put out a whopping 40 milliwatts. Boy, was =
that kit a lesson in itself. Not because it was bad, but because I had =
no clue as to what I was doing. I nearly burned all of the traces off of =
the board with a cheap iron. HIHI But, with perseverance I got it to =
work and moved on to a couple of fine kits from Small Wonders Lab and =
Dave Benson. All of this time I kept thinking about Elecraft. =
Welp....finally I have an Elecraft kit....the KX1. I am about half way =
through with number 378. Boy, this kit building is like therapy!

A long winded note to say "Thank You" to all of the kit providers out =
there and especially at this time to Elecraft! BTW, I was present at the =
Charlotte Hamfest a couple of years back for their presentation. Wanted =
an Elecraft rig then, but....that is anothre story for another day..
