Rick, did you adjust the turns on the toroid as described in the manual =
to
balance the output at 40 and 20 meters?=20

KX1 S/N 0004 gets:

40 meters
4.0 watts at 13.8 vdc
1.1 watts on internal AA alkaline batts.

30 meters
4.7 watts at 13.8 vdc
1.4 watts on internal batts.

30 meters
3.5 watts at 13.8 vdc
0.9 watts on internal batts.
