I would second this request.  But it might be of considerable utility even 
when used as an HF rig (as users of the KX1 might have discovered).

I am thinking particularly of those who do QRP/portable or "human 
powered mobile" operations, and who frequent the HFpack frequencies 
(e.g. 18.157.5).  In these situations, this facility would be very handy, 
as there is frequent switching from SSB to CW when the going gets 
tough.
