Hi gang, just wanted to share with you a recent find. I just built the 
HF Packer Power Pack www.hfprojects.com . It is a neat little project 
which I'm sure will get alot of use in my portable ops. Basically,  it 
is a self contained 7aHr SLA battery, smart charger and  Anderson 
Powerpole based distribution center all in one. The unit is housed in a 
steel enclosure and has a handle on the front to carry the package. 
With the smart charger, you can leave the unit plugged in keeping your 
battery fully charged, furthermore, the AC Xformer and charging circuit 
does not put out any RF hash so you can use it as your QRP base station 
PS in the shack.  Neat idea, wish I had thought of it.  I have no 
affiliation with the manufacturer, but thought others on the list may 
want to check it out. BCNU.
