[Elecraft] re: S-meter hum: KX-1

Hi Steven,

My receiver has been aligned and seems to be working well, but the 
S-Meter buzz is quite a bit louder than the 1 uv signal from my XG-1.  
May not be much louder than the noise from BPL though, hi hi.  With the 
AGC acting on a strong signal (like the XG-1 at 50 uv) the buzz does 
disappear.

At this point, I consider the S-Meter unusable, though the rest of the 
rig is great.  My next step is to talk with Elecraft service to see if 
they have further suggestions.
