Hi
I believe all of this has been incorporated into the newer manual and =
>3000 S/N K2's. You should find a place for D8 on the bottom of the RF =
board.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 Modifications for use with the KPA100
Good morning all:
Just curious about something. I'm building K2 #3951. I
received a packet of parts and an instruction sheet to change some of
the supplied parts to improve the VFO / ALC circuit.
I'm looking at Part II of these instructions:
R&R C154, R10, & R16. New values will be C154 =
=3D
100pF ( 101 )
R10 =3D 470 ohm R16 =3D 100K ohm
These are the same values installed per the build instructions in the
manual. So, I don't have to switch them ( assuming the manual
has been updated since this mod came out )
In the mod instructions, D8 appears to be an add-on. Has
this also been addressed somewhere in the manual or is it still a
required all-on???
Thanks gang:
