Wow, you don't suppose there could be  "KX2" in the works?  You know, an 
inch or so longer than the KX1, SSB and CW at 4 - 5 watts, 3 band, 
internal batteries, headphone/mic combination, adjustable bandwidth 
filter, internal ATU......

Now, wouldn't that be cool?
