Thanks for the responses.

What really helped kill the idea is the power hungry nature of the SGC product.

The SGC draws 110ma when idle and a whopping 500ma at full output. The KDSP2 draws 10ma and 60ma by comparison. Added to the UGLY install that SGC recommends and the insights of some on the list, it's a no brainer. If I do opt for DSP it will be with a KDSP2.
