Good Morning

I am building the K2 and have got to the assembly of the LCD 
backlight diffuser and LCD on the Front Panel Board on pages 25 and 
26.  The manual says not to remove the backing from either side of 
the diffuser.  Can someone please confirm that this backing is never 
removed (as this would be impossible after it is fitted with the LCD 
assembly).  (I note the protective plastic film on the LCD is removed 
later.)
