I have to agree as well.
We are currently developing high end software for the K2
(www.callsignsoftware.com) and have known Carl for quite some time. He has a
great product and the annual fee if anything is probably not the best
description. Basically, it allows you to get updates for the course of that
year. Once your year is up you are entitled to use the last version you have
forever. Want to continue getting new features in Carls program, just pay
the small fee...
I suggest those interested give it a look. Carl is one of the most
experienced guys I know when it comes to user interfaces and he always comes
up with one of those "wow, I wish I had thought of that".
That said, I have to give an Ada boy to Julian as well. Yesterday when I
wanted to listen to the locals on 75 meters but was "sentenced" to a
painting project by my XYL I was able to take my notebook upstairs and
listen and tune the K2 across my LAN while working. Thanks Julian.
Small software fees help developers do better things. For those that don't
want to pay, stick with the free stuff.
73,
Rich
