[Elecraft] KX1 IC QUESTION

Hi group,

I have been having problems with my KX1's receiver and the support people asked me to check if the main IC is fully sitting in the socket. (I'm at work and I can't think of it's part # - the large IC which sits in a socket)
I think it is in all the way, but there is a small space between the pin's shoulders and the socket. Is this ok or should it be inserted further so that there shoulders reach the tops of the sockets?
Any help would be appreciated.
