I think my BFO range exceeds anything anyone has mentioned here &
certainly met whatever was intended by Elecraft, but I find it's impossible to
place the filter passband in the right place with traditional mark/space
"high" tones
in DIG-reverse mode (which sets things right for operation on 18 Mc & below) if
one wants a narrow filter...
Changing mark/space tones on some TUs & TNCs is a non-starter - just changing
TUs/TNCs here will require a change of operator. As noted by AB7R, if one is
using MMRTTY, turn off the AFC. For folks outside NA - especially in EU -
remember that the K2 wasn't meant for the "low" tone pair you are used to.
If anyone has any ideas on how one might always remember to "flip" the TU/TNC
with "high" tones to get around DIG-reverse in the heat a contest at 0-dark:30,
I'd be happy to hear from you. ;^)
