[Elecraft] December postal delays to UK / Europe

A few U.S. Postal Service International Air Parcel Post shipments we sent
during December to Europe, and especially to the UK, are taking several weeks
longer to reach their destinations than normal due to the large amount of
packages the postal system has to handle during the holidays. We are seeing a
number of packages sent during the first two weeks of December that have not
yet reached their destinations. It looks like the delay is occurring at the
European / UK end of the path.

We saw a similar delay last year and all of the shipments eventually made it
to their destinations. Last year the typical delivery time was 4-6 weeks when
we encountered this delay. A few took a couple of weeks longer.

If you are still waiting for a shipment to arrive, please check first with
your local postal authorities to make sure they are not holding a package for
you. We saw several cases last year where they tried delivering once during
the holiday rush and if no one was home they put it in their back room for
future delivery and promptly forgot about it -- Until we or the customer
inquired about it. :-0

If you do not see your package arrive within 6 weeks, please email
[email protected] and we will work with you to find it. Don't worry! We will
make sure you will get what you have ordered. :-)
