Well, wouldn't you know it? I listened again after putting in some AA cells
to check the little one worked OK on 9V (it does) and now there's *no*
digital noise on 30m! Perhaps I hadn't got the case screwed up tight and
properly grounded before?

I had a quick QSO with a GW on 40m using 1W out to check it all worked OK,
and of course it did.

I shall be taking my new KX1 to my local radio clubs tonight and on
Thursday, I aim to get gasps of admiration and amazement from the different
crews.
