[Elecraft] KX-1 first section resistance test questions

Well, I am at that point of building the KX1 # 341 and I am not sure I am
doing the tests correctly.
U1 pins 1,3,4 and 20 all check out fine at over 1K. When I go to check the
other pins, I only get a reading of about 20 on pin 15. all the other pins
read zero or no reading at all. I have check the solder connectins and all
seems fine.
The other problem is that I don't seem to get any reading on the D2 and D3
banded ends when testing the S1 switch. Again, the diodes are installed
correctly and all solder joints are fine.
Question is, am I supposed to be getting any reading on the other pins of U1
or is something wrong here?
Regarding the diodes, I am at a complete loss.
