[Elecraft] K2 Acting Strange Part Two

About a week ago I posted a message about how my K2 is acting "strange" - 
like it is muting or something.  I received several replys - TNX BTW - but 
it is still having that problem.  These are the things that I 
checked/replaced...

coax connectors - replaced with new (both antennas)
bad paddle cable/paddle contact spacing - does the same even with no cable 
connected
check for bad solder joints around the T/R switching circutry - all looks ok

After checking with it more, it APPEARS to only do it on 40m _AND_ the 
signal strength will return to normal levels if I hit the key _OR_ tap on 
the case.  Possibly a bad relay in either the 40m BPF or LPF?  I can't think 
of anything else that would cause this as it appears to be isolated to 40m. 
Thoughts???
