Thanks, Don...I ran it again and moved each reading a little and reset, =
but it's still the same. No ALC or RF action on s-meter but there is =
audio there as heard in my other receiver.
Also thanks to all for the Spectrogram links, got it loaded but either a =
poor jumper of bad mike input is limiting the signal in Spectrogram. At =
full volume it is just above the noise BUT I can see that the bandpass =
is skewed radically. Hopefully going to R.Shack today for another =
jumber cord and that may help.
Even if this turns out to be a bad mike, I'll have learned how to align =
the radio.
Thanks to all of you for taking the time to help.

Dave,
Take a look at step 3 of the K2 dial calibration article on my website
www.qsl.net/w3fpr. There you will find information on Spectrogram and
several links for additional information - among them is how to get
Spectrogram 5 which is the last freeware version - it is still =
available.

Thanks Jim & Fran.
I just set up the filter and bfo per the ssb manual but no real =
improvement.
Guess it's time for spectrogram, yes?
I'll go look for it, the last time I looked it was a free program but =
only
for 10 days and it may take me longer than that. Plus I'll have to do =
some
digging on it's setup and use.
Thanks again for the help!
