Just changing the MLB should not have mucked with the O/S serial port =
settings (same brand/model MLB?). However, I'm not sure what you meant =
by 'Reloaded S/W' but this would make me suspect in doing so you may =
have changed your serial port settings.

To double check your port configuration settings try this:

Go to control panel. Double click 'System'. This should bring up your =
system properties. Click on the tab labled 'device manager'.

You should see an entry labled 'Ports (Com and LPT)'. Click on the =
little '+' sign to expand.

Click (highlight) the com port you have/want the KIO serial cable =
plugged into. Then click on the 'properties' button at the bottom

First of all it should tell you if the port is working properly (or =
not). Secondly, click on the tab at top that says 'Port Settings'. You =
will see the various setting for the com port (baud rate, data bits, =
parity, etc.). Confirm all is as should be. I do believe it should be:

4800 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 2 stop bits, no handshaking
