Hi
Elecraft has always supplied the latest firmware at no charge if you buy =
a option that requires the upgrade. For example if you have an older =
firmware K2 and buy the KPA100 that required the newer firmware they =
have always supplied it at no charge when you buy the KPA100. If you are =
just upgrading the firmware only then you will need to buy it. As I =
understand it if you add the 60 meter/transverter module then the =
firmware is included as part of the option. If you can not wait for the =
60M/transverter option, you can go ahead and order the key click mod and =
firmware and Elecraft will credit you back for the firmware when the =
60M/transverter option comes out. Who else would do that for you?

Hi Gang,
Bill makes a good point here. Is there any one place that shows a
chronology of the changes with each firmware upgrade?
Also, at $44.00 a pop, it would seem more frugal to wait for a 'major'
upgrade before replacing an otherwise functional chip.
