I may be a bit fuzzy but I remember CFO back in 1958 college days when I =
had a Globe Chief and home brew single 813 linear in my dormitory room.  =
My keyer was a homebrew pair of 12AU7's copied from the MON-KEY circuit =
where the dots and dashes were not self-completing like today's keyers.  =
I have photos.  FOC members were assigned a number; whereas, a CFO =
member's number was the SSN.  And there were no dues, no newsletter, no =
president, just QRQ 40m CW with the gang.
e    e    e   e daaaahhhhh   It really was a jab at FOC for sure.

As a CFO, I never answered a CQ FOC CQ FOC and because of that, I =
probably missed out on some good rag chew by not being an FOC.

  jab at FOC in addition to being a group of ops (mainly on 40M) who =
enjoy=20
  QRQ CW.
