Man, what a great contest...I only had about an hour to work it, so I =
threw
up a random wire with a single counterpoise into the dogwood tree off my
porch and worked 15 countries with my K1.  Most of them came back to me
first call, as it was late in the contest. (I'll remember that for next
year.) =20

That was by far the most fun I've had in ham radio for YEARS.  Thanks
Elecraft!  Working 15 countries (in approximately 25 minutes, actually) =
with
5 watts and a rig I built myself, using an internal antenna tuner and a
random wire antenna was a real kick!
