Hello Mr. Rogers! (Sorry I couldn't resist)

Prior to a hamfest if I am going to show the K2 I have one thing I do. I
have a piece of Lexan formed to fit as a top on the K2. That way they can
look at it and not poke their little fingers where they do not belong. I
think it cost me $5.00 or less to get it cut and a right angle on it so it
will fit the K2. Had I been patient I could have got the Lexan formed for
free. I also went back and drilled it and screwed it right to the radio.
You could also mount a speaker in the Lexan if you choose. Made a GREAT way
for all to see the inner workings.

With the KPA100 I'm not sure how I would do that one? My thoughts have been
to make a lexan bottom for it. Then once the KPA100 is mounted in it they
can see all of it. You can show them what wires are connected where. Of
course if it is separated that might be even easier. Maybe this is overkill
but I've seen a few things go wrong a HF's in the past. I still remembered
the first time I heard someone actually stole a radio off someones table. I
just could not believe a ham would do such. I think being naive can be a
virtue sometimes?? Of course it may have been a case of not being careful.
Either way my bubble burst and I became more careful.

There are also power point presentations. PLUS you might consider getting
one of the screensavers from Elecraft site and let it run in the background
when you are not using the computer. You also might consider the other
software at Elecraft to show them how the radio interfaces with the
computer. Especially the program that talks but I don't remember name of it
now. But you can find it at the Elecraft website. Hope this helps! 73 ....
