Yep, I have one of those D-104s sitting over here on the table. Mine is 
newer than yours -- probably 1957! Was thinking of putting a connector 
on it for the K2. But I'd really like to replace the 47-year old 
crystal element. Anyone know if they are still available -- with the 
same response as the original?

I used mine mobile for many years -- attached to an Elmac AF-67. 
Problem was, however, that it had to be kept out of the direct sunlight 
when not in use!

Anyone think my 47-year old element is still good? Since I don't have 
the G-Stand, I guess I'd need to build a small interface box for 
matching K2 input. Think the Astatic people knew what an *interface* 
was back then? Hummmm.
