[Elecraft] K2:"Raspy" audio

    This problem of close proximity to a power supply keeps cropping up. 
My bench is usually quite a mess and once or twice my K2 has ended up 
close to an offending AC transformer and then I get told that my audio 
is not up its usual standard.
    I wonder if anyone has come up with an internal magnetic shield or 
has replaced some covers with steel ones. For a base station the extra 
weight would not be a problem.
    I'm just thinking out loud.
