I've had excellent success with TV antennas over the years.  My secret =

This TV system is the real thing and can be used.

2. When not watching TV have a double pole double throw knife switch in =

line and transfer it over to the ham rig.  The whole thing can load up=20
against ground, and you will find it's a VERY effective antenna!
