[Elecraft] L1 in KAT2

Hi,

            I am in the process of completing the KAT2, and am confused =
about the length of wire to be used for L1. In the manual a 2 1/8 inch =
length of green hookup wire is specified for the 2 turns to be wound on =
a red core. When I wind 2 turns of this wire on the core I end up with a =
lot of excess wire. I try to spread the 2 turns as far apart as I can, =
but still have about a =BD inch extra after soldering both ends to the =
PCB. I checked a photo of a completed KAT2 in one of the Elecraft =
screensavers, and L1 looks ok: no loose windings and no extra wire. =
Actually, L2 has the same problem, but to a lesser degree. Has anybody =
else noticed this?
