[Elecraft] Frequency Reference

I'm wondering if someone can explain something to me.

I just built a 10MHz freq reference kit from W8DIZ 
(www.kitsandparts.com). I now want to check my K2 against this 
reference. When attempting to "zero beat" against this reference, do I 
set my K2 to USB, LSB or CW? Also the tone I should be listening for is 
the frequency of my sidetone correct? Thanks in advance.
