Ed,

No bias resistor needed for that mic element.  Just connect the AF, PTT,
ground and cable shield and you should be in business.

The Heil elements are a bit on the low gain side for the K2, you may want to
add a pre-amp, increase the value of R14 on the SSB board or make the
increased gain mods that John Grebenkemper KI6WX has documented for the KSB2
if you have low gain problems.
