Hi Ron,

I noticed the same thing, but found that reducing the 'beta' made the 
signals less choppy.  I have it currently set to 41 (I think 89 was the 
default?) As you reduce this parameter you get less noise reduction, but 
also less choppiness.  I recall that K6SE set his even lower, to 21 if 
I'm not mistaken.

I wish I had a knob to turn to change this while listening to a real 
weak one so I could find the 'sweet spot'!

The longer I have the DSP, the more I like it.
