[Elecraft] xtal filter soldering?

Hello again:
One quick question regarding installation of the crystal filters on the =
K2 RF board--the one's with two ground wires each. I soldered my ground =
wires on before installation of the crystals--but I soldered them on the =
wide flat sides, not the "thin" sides. Is this correct? Or should I =
remove these and use somewhat shorter ground leads on the thin edges of =
the crystal cans.? (I probably should have asked this before picking up =
the soldering iron!!)
