With the recent discussion about the possibility of lead based solder =
becoming scarce, I decided I'd better stock up, so I scored two 1 lb. =
spools on eBay, from 2 separate sellers. The first has arrived and I =
have some question as to it's flux.
The label says: Electrum (Solder Products, Rahway, NJ) , Diameter .032, =
Alloy 63/37, Flux RMA, Core% 3.0). Paid $10.00 including shipping. What =
is "RMA" flux? I assume the R means rosin....but I don't know about =
the MA. Advice or info appreciated. Thanks.
The second spool (not yet arrived) is good old 60/40 Kester, .025 =
diameter .....what I've been using with good results. Paid $9.38 =
including shipping.
