Hi Ron,

I use the QSK 5 with an Ameritron ALS-600 connected as
follows:

    Key 1-----shorted (to ground)
    Key 2-----KPA 100 keying relay out

Shorting KEY 1 forces the T/R relay in the ALS-600 to the
transmit state so that ALL the T/R switching occurs in
the QSK-5. This turned out to be necessary because of
the slow switching time of the ALS-600 relay. Depending
on your particular amp this may or may not be appropriate.
I really enjoy the the QRO QSK with no relay clanking.
