Thanks to all that responded to the problem I was having getting the right
resistance check on the 8 volt regulator on the control board. I learned
something new thanks to you guys. The resistance was fine. The problem, as many
stated, was my autoranging fluke meter. It was searching for the correct range
and was stumbling along the way. I put my good HP meter on it and it hit
right where it was supposed to.

By the way, you guys all sound like something I have experienced my whole
life owning Corvettes. There is the corvette wave that when you pass another
Vette, you wave. One happy family with a common interest. The Elecraft Radios
have a loyal following with everyone helping one another and sharing fun
experiences in the same way. I love it. I had a K1 and sold it a couple of months
ago with the idea of replacing it with a K2. BIG MISTAKE. I want my K1 back
along with my K2. I have a KX1 laying on my bench too.
