[Elecraft] KAT100 and K2 firmware upgrades

Finally got a weekend completely free of work and social obligations and 
finished off my KAT100 tuner.  I had been looking forward to knocking this 
project off today, Saturday, and getting it on the air tomorrow and seeing 
how it works.  After having assembled the unit, I run into the notes 
tonight on page 24 of the instruction manual stating I need the firmware 
revision 2.03d and IOC 1.07.  Fearing not, since I had upgraded firmware 
for the K2 version A to B modification, I was upset to see I had only 
version 2.02e and IOC 1.02.  Wonder why this requirement for the upgraded 
firmware was not mentioned on the order page?    Nevertheless, I went back 
to the Elecraft site to plunk down another $44 for the latest firmware, and 
then I remembered Wayne is working on yet another upgrade to work out the 
keying waveform and other issues.   So what a waste of time and money it 
would be to get the currently available firmware update, take the radio 
apart to install it, and then re-do all the software parameters, only to 
have to do it all again when the next version of firmware, which I 
understand is on the drawing board, is available.

Does anyone have any idea when this new firmware will be available?  In the 
meantime, my newly assembled tuner will sit unused.
