Dave,

I found a great device to help with that problem,
which even in Tennessee happens from time to time. The
device is a YuleLog 2.004 and is also available in a
QRP version the YuleTwig 2.004. It's available on the
web.
I understand next year's model will come in tape form
as well.

You may wish to try coating it with GoodCHeer this
coming Spring, it has the tendency to keep the RF
flowing year round.
