HI guiysThe world of protocols exists just to make meanings understood,
cross culture and cross language. Any two people can agree that 599 has a
specific meaning and another can equate that meaning toENN. Me? I use R.
If I give you an R it means and has meant in my 40 plus commecial years ,"I
got it" If I didn't get it all then the dreaded "rpt" was sent until
finallly the protocol was closed with the end of work.

RST limits what you can ascribe to each letter. It can be any RXX that a
group agrees on. We could be snide types and give the most meaningful of
all the K1 or K2. Oh how will we keep out the 100 watters? The Elecraft
police to the rescue! PLEASE!.

I just finished reading this month's FIST If you think we got troubles
read there.
