I GIVE UP!
I ordered a new one today from one of the many recommendations
that were in the $150 range. I chose the one that together with
shipping was $1 less than the one above it after someone told me
they had one from there.
THANKS to all the responders. I agree. I have coveted one since I
used one to great avail at Gerald Youngblood's house on a 2 meter
transverter we were trying not to destroy!

Never! Once you've used one, you'd never sell unless slipping into the
inability to use anymore. I now have both the desoldering gun and the
soldering station... thanks to Tom Hammond's recommendations. After nearly
45 years of soldering, etc., and a lot of building, these are more important
than most other simple possessions.

Surely there is one person out there who has decided they can live without
that
Hakko 808 and want to give it up to yours truly? I am not trying to save
much,
but if I give up any more coffee to save pennies, I will never be awake
again.
