[Elecraft] K1 enthusiast wonders ??

I too like my K1 a lot. My K2 is the main station rig and the K1 travels  
with me. I have used it operating portable in Maui and in London and it packs  
very well. Installed the KAT1 before the London trip and worked Europeans on 20m 
 with a wire tossed out the hotel window. Ran at both DX locations off of 8 
AA  cells. While the K2 and KX1 seem to be more popular, I consider the K1 to 
be a  best buy from Elecraft.
