[Elecraft] Transverter question

Just a thankyou to the many responses I got on the subject line. After
looking at the input circuit to the xverter and the attenuator section we
decided that 9 to 10 watts would probably be within limits. It turns out we
were correct. With 5 feet of RG58 style cable we drove the XV222 to 18
watts out and everything was working perfectly and normally. We then went
ahead and fed the Henry Amp and now have 120 watts out in time for the VHF
contest. I think Todd is very happy.

Now after actually playing with one of the XV's I've got to say it is an
excellent unit. The receive sensitivity is phenomenal (at 222.100 it is .04
for 12dB SINAD in the FM mode and in CW/SSB I had to attenuators to the
output of my service monitor to try to check it out and the service monitor
goes down to .02uV. Great unit, now I know what I want for Christmas.....a
6meter and 2meter Elecraft XV units.....(would someone tell my wife).

73 and thanks to all, again this reflector is a source of uncommon
knowledge.
