[Elecraft] Transverter question

I was so surprised Lyle that I have just downloaded the manual to see for 
myself :-)  Sure enough, no transverter port!  It does have the usual 
linear amp switching though including ALC input (remote connector pin 
6).  I personally find this a more elegant solution than the attenuator as 
well as being much easier to implement.   If the ALC voltage is tied to the 
transverter on/off switching, then it should automatically reduce the power 
only when needed. Not totally foolproof, but should work.
