[Elecraft] K2 for Contesting/Dxing

BlankFor the last several years I've been running a remote controlled
station out of necessity (read antenna restrictions). Up until the last
few months I was using a Kachina 505dsp but recently sold it.

I currently have a TS-2000 on order as its set up nicely for remote
control using TRX-Manager.   However, its been on back order for the
last month or so and won't be shipping until mid to late May.

I started researching the K2 and its receiver performance #'s sure are
impressive.

I know some DXpeditions have used the rig but was curious how it
performs during contests and DXing.  Also how does the NB handle man
made noise?  I have power lines very close to my antenna (within 100' or
so) and the station is in a city type environment.

I don't think I would mind taking this summer to build it.  That should
leave me plenty of time before the fall dx/contest season begins.
Besides TRX Manager will control the K2 just like the TS-2000.

So someone talk me out of building a K2.......
