[Elecraft] Heathkit v Elecraft

The volume of traffic on the list seems to have declined over the last week
or so. So please may I pose this question.

I wonder what the total number of each of the classic Heathkit HF
transceivers in kit form were?
Does the Elecraft K2 total sales surpass these, making it the best selling
HF kit transceiver of all time?

I can not think of any other manufacturer other than Heathkit and Elecraft
that have been so successful or do others know different.

I wonder if the volume of traffic on the list has waned a little in
anticipation of some new big kit announcement for Dayton??
