Terry,

The first thing to suspect is the filter/BFO settings for both LSB and USB.
If you have not used Spectrogram (or similar) and a wideband noise generator
to set the Filter/BFO relationships, I strongly suggest you do so.

detailed information.  Step 3 contains the information about running CAL
