[Elecraft] side tone level volume on a K2

Check Q5, the 2N7000.  I had the same problem and found Q5 to be bad and so
did a few others.  Elecraft mailed me a replacement in a couple of days.

finished a K2 in anticipation of getting a technician plus code license.
When I got to the side tone level check, I discovered that I had a side
tone, but I could not get its volume to change by turning the VFO knob.  The
side tone pitch,however, does change as it should when the VFO knob is
turned.  Does anyone have any idea where the problem might be?  Thanks, Jef.
