I am pleased to report my success and satisfaction with the K60XV option
module for the K2. It is fitted to my Revision A K2 #01583 and is
working fine.

I have always been puzzled by the 4.7pF (C70) connected in parallel with
the original 82pF (C71) on the Revision A board. I changed the 82pF for
a 120pF as directed in the K60XV manual and left the 4.7pF intact
despite it not being shown on the Revision B schematic. However, the
VCO voltage at 5260kHz (UK's lowest 5MHz frequency) measured only 0.79V,
while voltages throughout all the other bands were within the range of
1.8 to 5.6V. I found that by increasing the value of C70 from 4.7pF to
10pF has increased the 5260kHz VCO to 1.09V making it within the 1.0V to
7.5V range recommended in the K60XV manual.

I made a slight deviation from the assembly instructions in that I
mounted a small right-angled connector at J1 so that the leads to the
BNC connectors can be disconnected when the top cover is removed. There
is just sufficient clearance with the KAT2 ATU.
