I would advise against using denatured alcohol, sold in automobile parts
outlets for brake system cleaning...Denatured alcohol contains ethyl and
methyl alcohol and may contain acetone which can dissolve plastic...100%
isopropyl is the approved chemical if you are inclined to clean the
flux...The board should not be left wet, it should be dabbed dry with a
soft cotton cloth, like an old T-shirt...That will remove the residue...

wel, but like denatured alcohol it does not "remove" the flux as much as
it
melts it and thins it. Helps cosmetically, but does nto remove it.<
